Merry Christmas

It is amazing how fast Christmas goes as you get older. We all had a great time even though it was a bit hectic. From my sister flying in on Christmas Eve to Gregg working a twelve hour day on Saturday. The kids made out very good from everybody. Hay was all excited about opening presents while Ajay didn't really want anything to do with it. The only present he opened was the case of beer Gregg got! Do I need to worry yet?? I believe my gift list for a few will be boxes...there not just fun for the kids but also the "older" kids! All in all the best present was to have my sister home for the holiday! We love and already miss you Stacey!

Winter Wonderland

As I got up this morning at 5:30 wondering what the skies had dropped on us I peeked out the window thinking not to bad....Got my boots out and headed out to shovel and opened the garage door thinking my eyes had deceived me earlier. Got through about 3/4 of the driveway before the kids woke and after breakfast we all headed back out. The kids played for a while and Ajay got tired. He went down for nap and Hay went in to watch cartoons. For a rough estimate of probably 4 hours of shoveling I cleared the driveway! All the while hoping Gregg was doing fine since he had been out plowing since midnight! I only asked myself a few times...why do we live here and we are so investing in a snow blower soon!!

The Motelet Cousins

In a rare moment we actually got all the Motelet cousins sitting together and actually all looking at the camera for a picture during Thanksgiving at NaNa and Bapa's house. They all have so much fun playing together!

Friday Fun Night

Tonight was an exciting Friday night for us for Sun Prairie just opened up a Little Cesar's Pizza! Can't ask for anything more than a great childhood memory and $5.00 large pizza's! After pizza the kids did airplane rides with dad. Definitely brings back a lot of memories for me.

Teamwork

This morning the kids worked together to clear out the whole entire toy box just to climb into it to play. Glad to see that they are working together at such a young age.

Happy Halloween

The time has finally come and gone. Hayleigh (the witch), Ajay (the monkey), and a bunch of their friends all went trick or treating. This is the first year Hayleigh has actually gone door to door and she had a blast! After every house she would come running to us showing us what candy she got. Ajay pretty much just came along for the ride. I felt like one of those parents that send there child out without a custome on for you couldn't see Hay's witch custome under her coat and her witch hat didn't stay on over her winter hat. Nothing like Halloween in Wisconsin! We stopped over at Grandma's house when we were done to find grandma all dressed up too! I asked Hay what her favorite part of trick or treating was and her reply....."getting candy". Like I had to ask! Hope all had a spooktacular night!

Carving Pumpkins

It is Halloween Day and we have gotten our pumpkins carved. Again Hayleigh was all into getting the seeds and guts out while Ajay wanted not to much to do with it. After awhile he grabbed a spoon and reached into the pumpkin but then without any warning stuck the spoon in is mouth. They say to introduce a varity of tastes when they are young! They never say how to do it!

Pumpkin Patch

The weather had finally cooporated last weekend and we got to go out to the pumpkin patch and pick out some pumpkins. Hayleigh was all excited where Ajay was just interested in the bride and groom talking skeltons. Maybe next year!

What boys get into

Yesterday morning while I was getting a bite to eat for breakfast the kids where playing. They happen to be in our room just doing what kids do have fun. A few minutes later Hayleigh comes running to me saying "Mama Ajay's head is stuck". With who knows how many thoughts running through my head I jump up from the table and run into our room only to see two legs kicking about from under our bed. The great Mom I am laughed and ran for the camera. Seriously is this what we get to look forward to?

Packer Kids

Good thing the kids don't take after NaNa and like the Bears! Glad to see the Packers bounce back from their lost against Brett Favre but if they couldn't win against the Lions then we all may switch over to being Bear fans!

Corn Maze

Last Sunday we took the kids out to a local farm that had a corn maze, bouncy house, animals, pumpkin launcher, and of course pumpkins. We had a great time going through the corn maze we actually only got turned around once. Hayleigh was the leader for a while and a few times when she would pick a way we had her go the other way and go figure she actually would have been right if we went the way she choose originally.

Beleaf it or Not....

....a pile of leaves entertains 2 kids for quite a long time. I was amazed that Ajay actually walked right up to the leaf pile and layed right down in it. Not sure if watching big sister had anything do with that! I got the whole front yard raked while they played with their sand toys in the leaf pile.

Swimming Lessons

Hayleigh has started taking swimming lessons at the Monona Grove pool. She absolutely loves it. It is just herself and one other little boy named Henry in the class so they both get alot of practice time. After her first class was over we asked her on the way home what her favorite part of swim lessons was and her reply was "all of it"!

SPFD

On October 11 Sun Prairie's Fire Department had an open house. We took the kids down and toured the Fire Station. We got plenty of coloring books and goodies for the kids. Along with the goodies we got to ride in a fire truck, see the inside of a ambulance and fire truck, and Hayleigh even got to dress as a miniture fire girl. It was a great experience.

Bicycle Riding

Hayleigh couldn't wait to get out and ride her new bike. We went out the next day and to my surprise she is really good on her bicycle. She isn't very attentive to her "driving" though. I have to keep on reminding her to "watch where she is going" I think she might get that from her Dad!

Hayleigh turns 4!

Hayleigh had a great 4th birthday, receiving many presents. Her Daddy and I surprised her at the end of her gift giving with her first "big girl" bike.

Yearly Camping Trip

Daddy plays in a ball tournament every year in Avoca over Labor Day weekend. This is our second trip out with our camper and we can say it was a great camping trip. If anyone wonders the guys actually played until late Sunday afternoon. Usually we are home early on Sunday. Needless to say I left with the kids early afternoon we were all pretty much spent! Good thing cause Daddy rolled in at 8:30 Sunday night.
