Sparkle and Nemo

We have two new additions to our family. Sparkle and Nemo are the kids goldfish. Some how when we left Hay's parent teacher conference Ajay walked out with an aquarium that the school was giving away. Needless to say they both thought it was the coolest thing picking out the fish. Hopefully like the saying goes....you get what you paid for......the goldfish were only .13 cents each!

Camp Brandenburg

On Friday night (3-9-12) Hayleigh and I enjoyed an overnight with her Daisy Troop at Camp Brandenburg. We got there around 7 and the girls enjoyed some songs, games, and a night time hike. Her Daisy troop leader also is a leader of a Brownie troop and all together there were 11 girls that enjoyed the overnight. Out of those 11 girls and 3 adults, the four 6 and 5 year olds outlasted all of us at bedtime. I think it was around 11 when the four of them finally let their sleepiness get the better of them. They all shared a room and enjoyed the four upper bunks of the bunk beds. On Sat. morning they got to experience learning new songs, games, making friendship bracelets, making an edible fire, building and starting their own fire which Hay actually struck her own match, smores with marshmellows as big as their heads, and a snipe hunt all the while being lead by junior Girl Scouts. We had a great time and had the best bunch of girls! It brought back many memories for myself and couldn't be more proud of my little Girl Scout. While we were gone Gregg taught Ajay a new saying...."Daddy is Great" So they had some great male bonding time!

Sledding

This morning (3-4-12) I took the kids up to a hill in walking distance from our house to go sledding. The kids and myself had a blast! The kids went up and down numerous times and I doubled up with the both of them. We ate snow, threw snowballs, and had many laughs! Finally some great winter fun!!

Like Father, Like Daughter

What do you get on a Saturday night when you cross one daddy working a midnight shift and one daughter that had a double play date?.......Two sleeping Motelet's!

Friday Night Fun

After some snow fall the kids went out with daddy to play in it. I peeked out the window to find them sledding down the driveway! The snow was just to wet to get the sleds down. After they were done sledding they made their own pizza's! Great start to a great weekend.
