The kids and I spent the day at the beach with Cheryl, Sarah, and Ben. We had the beach to ourselves where the kids enjoyed swimming, playing in the sand, feeding the ducks, and having a picnic lunch. Even though it was overcast and a little cooler we all had a great time!
With our summer being in the 90's and 100's the kids have been trying to stay cool and the pool is one big key to doing that. Yesterday they spent alot of time swimming......even Marley is gettting in on the fun too!
We went yesterday to get our haircuts and Hay told me she wanted her hair cut short like mine.......so away it went and after the shock wore off of her she absolutely loves it and so do I!
A few weeks ago Aunt Cee-Cee came up for a short weekend visit. The kiddo's were surprised when she came knocking on the door. She had a great rental ride......A mustage convertable. So we took the kids out for a ride on Sunday morning. Hay's ponytail band broke at McD's so she had some wild a crazy hair on the way back! We all had a blast...........and I was a weeeee bit jealous!
On Saturday the kids went out with the Connor's on their boat. I ended up joining in the fun about an hour later. Hayleigh was brave enough to go out tubing with Sheridan and enjoyed it very much! I tried getting Ajay out tubing with me but he didn't want to go. We all did some swimming in the lake, enjoyed a lake tour, and the kids got to feed the ducks coming back to the pier. It was great to get out after a week long of very hot temperatures!
This was as close as we came to celebrating the 4th of July. We were going to go to the fireworks in Monona but with temps still in the 90's at 7:00 we decided to watch Rhythm and Booms on TV. The kids actually enjoyed it!
